How many years have you been in business?
We've been proudly serving our community for over 35 years! What started as a family-founded mortgage company in western Massachusetts has grown into a trusted team helping people across the state find their way home. With roots dating back to 1982 in Eastern MA and 1987 in Western MA, our work has always been grounded in one core belief: home is the heart of every community!
Now led by Lindsay Barron LaBonte—daughter of founder Todd Barron—we’re honored to carry forward a multigenerational legacy of care. What made you decide to start (or join) your business?
Our story is built on family and fueled by a love for community. Lindsay LaBonte watched her father, Todd Barron, help generations of local families achieve homeownership—always with patience, empathy and a steady hand. When she joined the business, it wasn't just about following in his footsteps; it was about growing that mission to meet today's needs while honoring where we came from.

That's why we launched Applied Mortgage Community, a charitable initiative that lets us give back to the neighborhoods that give us so much. From local sponsorships to hands-on volunteering with more than 30 organizations a year, we always look for ways to uplift and support the places we call home.
We've had the privilege of helping over 18,000 people become homeowners, and every one of their stories continues to inspire us. When people feel secure, supported and empowered, entire communities grow stronger.
