Hello, my name is Emily Coderre and I’m the owner of Pursuit Pilates Club and the host of the “Working Within Wellness” podcast. I’m so excited to be a new expert in Northampton Living, and I’d like to welcome all readers to our September retreat (more below)! But first let’s break down what a retreat is and how to decide what kind of retreat is right for you.
What is a Retreat?
When you hear the word retreat, what comes to mind?
• A work retreat where you bond with co-workers?
• A yoga retreat where you spend your days flowing and meditating?
• A mindfulness retreat that helps you integrate stillness into your life?
All of these count as retreats!
According to “Oxford Languages,” a retreat is “a quiet or secluded place in which one can rest and relax.”
Retreats can last a single day or span several. There are many different types, such as:

• What’s my budget?
